Ingredients

  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips
  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 teaspoon peppermint extract
  • 1/2 cup crushed peppermint candies
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  • Line your 8x8-inch baking pan with parchment paper or aluminum foil, leaving an overhang on the sides for easy removal.
  • In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the semi-sweet chocolate chips, white chocolate chips, and sweetened condensed milk. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring well after each, until melted and smooth (about 1 to 2 minutes).
  • Stir in the peppermint extract and salt until fully incorporated.
  • Pour the fudge mixture into the prepared pan and spread evenly with a spatula.
  • Sprinkle the crushed peppermint candies over the top and gently press them down to adhere.
  • Refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or until completely set and firm.
  • Use the parchment overhang to lift the fudge out of the pan. Slice into squares and serve.

Equipment

  • Microwave-safe mixing bowl
  • Rubber spatula
  • 8x8-inch baking pan
  • Parchment paper or aluminum foil
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Plastic bag and rolling pin or mortar and pestle

Notes

  • Crush peppermint candies to a coarse texture for a delightful crunch without turning to dust.
  • Use high-quality chocolate chips for the best flavor and smooth texture.
  • Don’t skip the salt; it enhances the overall flavor beautifully.
  • Be gentle when stirring melted chocolate and condensed milk to avoid clumps.
  • Ensure the fudge chills fully for clean, neat slices.
