Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 1 pound chicken breast (boneless and skinless, cut into strips)
  • 1 teaspoon salt (or to taste)
  • 1 teaspoon pepper (or to taste)
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 4 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 cup chicken broth (low sodium or no sodium added)
  • 1 tablespoon Sriracha
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley (chopped)
  • Lemon slices (for garnish)

Instructions

Preparation Steps

  • Begin by seasoning the chicken strips with salt and pepper.
  • In a large skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Allow it to become bubbly but not browned.
  • Add the seasoned chicken strips to the skillet. Cook for about 5-7 minutes, or until the chicken is browned and cooked through.
  • Once the chicken is nearly cooked, add the minced garlic, red pepper flakes, and smoked paprika to the skillet. Sauté for 1-2 minutes until the garlic is fragrant.
  • Carefully pour in the chicken broth and Sriracha, stirring to combine. Let the mixture simmer for about 3-5 minutes.
  • Add the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter to the skillet and stir until melted. Remove from heat and stir in the chopped parsley.
  • Serve the Garlic Butter Chicken hot, garnished with fresh lemon slices.

Equipment

  • Large skillet
  • Cutting Board
  • Knife
  • Measuring spoons
  • Spatula

Notes

  • For best results, use fresh garlic rather than pre-minced options.
  • If you prefer a milder heat, adjust the amount of Sriracha and red pepper flakes.
  • Feel free to add a splash of white wine for additional depth of flavor.
