Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked chicken shredded
  • 4 cups broccoli florets steamed
  • 1 cup cream of chicken soup
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup turkey bacon chopped, optional
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs

Instructions

  • Steam 4 cups of broccoli florets until just tender but still vibrant green. Set aside to cool slightly.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine 1 cup cream of chicken soup, 1/2 cup mayonnaise, 1 teaspoon garlic powder, 1 teaspoon onion powder, salt, and pepper. Stir until smooth and well blended.
  • Add shredded cooked chicken and steamed broccoli to the sauce mixture. Fold gently to coat evenly.
  • Fold in 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese and 1 cup chopped turkey bacon if using.
  • Pour the mixture into a prepared baking dish, spreading evenly.
  • Sprinkle 1 cup breadcrumbs evenly over the top.
  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake for 25-30 minutes until top is golden brown and casserole is bubbling.
  • Let cool a few minutes before serving. Enjoy with a light salad or steamed rice.
