Ingredients

  • 1 can crushed pineapple (20 ounces), undrained
  • 2 packages instant pistachio pudding mix (3.4 ounces each)
  • 16 ounces frozen whipped topping (thawed)
  • 2 cups miniature marshmallows
  • 1 cup pecans (chopped)

Instructions

  • In a large mixing bowl, add the undrained crushed pineapple. Sprinkle the instant pistachio pudding mix over the pineapple and stir gently until fully combined.
  • Once the pudding mix is incorporated, take your thawed whipped topping and fold it into the pineapple and pudding mixture. Be gentle to keep the mixture light and airy.
  • Gently fold in the miniature marshmallows and chopped pecans. This step adds texture and nutty flavor that complements the creamy base beautifully.
  • Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least one hour. This allows the flavors to meld together and results in a more delicious Watergate Salad.
  • After chilling, give the salad a gentle stir before serving. You can garnish it with extra whipped topping or a sprinkle of chopped pecans for a lovely presentation.
