Ingredients

  • 2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 8 oz cream cheese softened
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 4 cloves garlic pressed
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp ground black pepper
  • 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese divided into 2 half cups

Instructions

  • Step 1: Prepare the Chicken. Start by preheating your oven to 375°F (190°C). While the oven is heating, season the chicken breasts with a sprinkle of salt and pepper on both sides.
  • Step 2: Sear the Chicken. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add a drizzle of olive oil. Once hot, add the seasoned chicken breasts and sear for about 5-7 minutes on each side until golden brown. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
  • Step 3: Make the Sauce. In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, sour cream, pressed garlic, and one half cup of grated parmesan cheese. Stir until well blended and creamy.
  • Step 4: Assemble the Dish. In the same skillet, lower the heat and return the chicken breasts. Pour the creamy garlic parmesan sauce over the chicken, ensuring to coat each piece generously. Sprinkle the remaining parmesan cheese and mozzarella cheese on top.
  • Step 5: Bake. Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  • Step 6: Serve and Enjoy! Once out of the oven, let the dish cool for a few minutes before serving. Pair it with your favorite side for a complete meal.
